On the Boards

We made it to the last month of 2021 – and what a year it’s been!! This past month was a mix of days off, site measuring, meetings, walk throughs, and helping coworkers meet deadlines. The last weeks leading up to the end of the year always seem to be a scramble and then it’s quiet between holidays, which is nice to catch your breath before January takes off.

We started the month site measuring for a new project that is in need of a refresh. The client asked that we provide some marketing renderings to showcase for their residents and help fundraise for the project. We are excited to get started and pull together two schemes. We sent conceptual ideas before the holidays and look forward to taking off with this once everyone is back in the office.

The conference center has been pushing full speed ahead. We’ve been approving submittals, coordinating furniture, and designing new signage.  Onsite, they have prepped for the new flooring and should start installing this week. We are hoping all goes well and they’ll be done after the holidays. We look forward to seeing it all come together!

Rep Round Up

We had quite a few appointments in the beginning of the month – several fabric visits, a few furniture, and two flooring updates. Also, we were able to grab lunch with two reps, who have always been so good to us. It was nice to catch up outside of the office!

  • Interface  with Amber Auch, recently became our new rep in place of Joe Foley. Joe joined Amber during our appointment, it was nice to have one last visit. They highlighted a new collection called Suite Serenity which is a sophisticated option for senior living. It is a nice blend of traditional and modern patterns. The colors are fairly neutral, but overall a stand out collection.
  • Deborah Zeitler Associates, Inc. with Debbie Radek, we are currently working with on several Keilhauer orders. She helped us with the conference center and we can’t wait to see it all installed. She also highlighted Loop’s Phone Booths and several Division Twelve pieces.
  • Stack Brogan Collection with Diana Brogan, she came in to update us on HBF Textiles. Lots of new patterns from NeoCon, a few we have already presented for recent projects. Afterwards, we went through and cleaned out all of the discontinued patterns.
  • Buckley Redner with Brian Buckley, joined by Reed Peters. Brian first highlighted new introductions from Boss Design, Memo, and Nevins. Then, Reed went over Brentano, Concertex, and Nappatile. There was a lot to cover, but great to see the textiles in the person.

Happenings

December 7th – Raean Brock with Mohawk invited us to a virtual Winter Wreath workshop hosted by Kyle from Flowers for Dreams. It was fun to see some familiar faces and kick off the holiday season. Thanks Raean and Mohawk – we had fun and tried our best! See below…

December 23rd – Our annual holiday party! We were fortunate to all be healthy and get together one last time before the end of the year. There were several balloons, holiday swag, and plenty to drink! We have had a busy year and it was nice to reflect and celebrate making it through together. Cheers to the SAS team – we’re looking forward to a busy and Sassy New Year!!

We’re so proud of everything we accomplished during this tough year, and can’t wait to see what we do in 2022!! Wishing everyone a safe, sassy, and healthy New Year!
