SAS Architects were engaged to design an addition to the existing skilled nursing home at Palos Hills Healthcare with an emphasis on rehabilitation. This facility features both short term rehab and long term care services and features a state of the art physical and occupational therapy gym and therapy pool. This therapy pool has a platform that rises and lowers to allow residents to enter at floor level without traversing steps. The platform can then lower and be used as a treadmill for resistance workouts. Whether recovering from a surgery or transitioning into long-term care, this facility offers commons and dining options to make the process comfortable.
