Friendship Village of Bloomington is a thriving retirement community which requires a state of the art Health Center to service the existing and expanded community. The Health Center was designed in two phases; the first is the memory care and assisted living portion of the building and the centralized commons. The first phase will allow the demolition of the existing memory care building which will allow for the skilled nursing addition in the second phase.
These two phases of the Health Center are connected by a three story commons building which houses the new entrance, a two-story dining room and shared amenity spaces. The assisted living and memory care wing is designed around an enclosed exterior courtyard to enhance views in the common areas.
