Highland Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center Niles, Illinois
The much anticipated addition and renovation of the Highland Park Nursing Center is completed. Over 75% of the facility will be new or remodeled. 25 new patient rooms and activity spaces are included in the 26,000 s.f. addition. Another 10,000 s.f of the existing facility has been renovated to create 15 new patient rooms, support facilities and entrance. Construction of this addition was very unique as the site slopes drastically and the facility had limited parking availability. Layout of the addition had to be thoughtfully designed which would now provide a continuously connected building from one end to the other, creating a central courtyard. Additional covered parking was provided directly under the addition which was a unique opportunity for the site.
