Park Place of St. John – Small House St. John, Indiana
The Park Place of St. John community offers a range of senior living options from short term rehab and skilled nursing to independent living. Brought to reality by an organization tracing its roots back over six decades, Providence Life Services has developed the community to provide an ever-expanding base of services to a growing and thriving area.
Phase I of this project utilizes the ‘Small House’ skilled nursing concept, which reimagines skilled nursing care with a more residential-scaled environment that provide more individualized care for seniors. With two 1-story, 10 bed cottages sitting on either side of the larger 2-story, 30 bed cottage, the facility provides a more intimate and home like setting where residents receive focused care without the traditional institutional surroundings. Each private resident room has ample space for any assisted bathing needs the resident may have. Mimicking the feel of a traditional home, each floor features a centrally located family room, living room, dining room, and kitchen to draw residents into activities and events for all. With access to a porch on each floor and a patio garden at the exterior it truly feels like home.
